Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting Project Managers and/or Superintendents in coordinating the activities of a project.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in construction management or civil Engineering.

General Knowledge:

  • Ability to perform a material takeoffs from a drawing
  • Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to review and update a project schedules
  • Ability to travel and gather field measurements
  • Ability to review and prepare materials and equipment shop drawings
  • Experience with pipe, concrete, earthwork, general building construction
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
  • Communicate with Equipment Suppliers and Subcontractor for coordination and paperwork

General Responsibilities:

  • Pre-construction meetings.
  • Permits
  • Submittals
  • Shop Drawings
  • Plan and Specification Review
  • Scope Review and Buyout
  • Submittal and RFI Log management
  • Punchlist and Project closeout

Computer Skills: Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCad and ViewPoint is a plus

Compensation: Vacation Time, Sick Time, Health Benefits, and 401k
