We are seeking a motivated junior/assistant construction estimator to expand our estimating division. An understanding of the estimating process and construction projects is required.

Areas of responsibility include:

• Report to a senior estimator
  
• Obtain quotes from specified vendors in a timely manner
• Perform material takeoffs
• Ability to read construction plans
• Organization of quotes
• Compare vendor and subcontractor scopes
• Persistent followup with all vendors to ensure timely bid preparation
• Attending pre-bid meetings, bid openings and site walkthroughs
  

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication via in-person, phone, email and other digital methods
• Motivation and willingness to learn our estimating method
  
• Detail Oriented
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Written and spoken fluent English

Required Experience

• Engineering or construction background
• Experience in estimating is a plus
• Experience in the water/wastewater sector is a plus
